"Radio has always been something that I've been interested in, especially since the days of the much-loved Springbok Radio. It was only shortly before I matriculated that I went for an audition at one of the regional radio stations in Cape Town, Radio Good Hope. However, I opted for a post at the Post Office (Telkom) instead. Despite my different chosen career, I joined Karel Bremer Hospital Radio in 1986, presenting a request show for the patients. In 1987 I was transferred to Olifantsfontein and it was only in January 1997 that I joined Rippel 90.5.

As far as likes and dislikes are concerned, I'm an extremely "morals, values and principles" oriented person and do not take kindly to people using others to their own advantage. However, seeing people reaching out to others in order to enrich their lives (not financially), is something that inspires me. I strive to be such a person, one who follows in the footsteps of the one and only best example there is, that of Our Heavenly Father .
