I have been with Rippel 90.5 FM since its inception in August 1995.

I was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe but was raised in South Africa. I matriculated from St Anne’s in Hilton, Natal that is why I am such a SHARKS supporter!

I got my first taste of broadcasting at Rhodes university. I was a DJ on the campus radio station RMR (Rhodes Music Radio) back in 1983 and I was hooked.

At the beginning of 1995 I was asked by a friend to audition for a new community radio station. My audition was with Kobus Rudolph and Sandy Dacomb, and they asked me what show I would like to do if my audition was successful and I answered “the breakfast show”. Nearly 13 years later I am still doing the breakfast show! I was never a morning person and I quickly re-orientated myself in becoming one – now it’s early to bed and early to rise for me.
